When a client manually enters a date in the date field, for an event, unless they enter it as the way the calendar displays it 'yyyy-mm-dd' the date either is saved as a wonky date or as all zeros '0000-00-00 00:00:00' or '0000-00-00'. Ideally the user would not be able to type in these fields and would have to use the calendar instead. How can I set it up this way.

I need to defeat the keyboard, or copy functioning from inputting of any data into the date fields.

Hi Brian,

That is a good suggestion. Zap Calendar is using the standard Joomla calendar control, which allows input either way. I will look to see if the input can at least check for a valid date before saving the event.
