TOPIC: How to disable front end editing

How to disable front end editing 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Recently purchased ZapCalendar and it works very well.

However, one problem I have is that the events can all be edited from the front end! I have tried

Global Settings -> Allow editing from front end -> Not Allowed

but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will check the code. Can you create events too, or just edit existing events with the "Not Allowed" setting? You could change the owner to prevent editing from the front end, but that could be a lot of work if you have a lot of events.

Problem solved - Duh!

The calendar was working fine all along.

When testing the calendar I took the website off-line. This meant I had to login to view it and as such I had editing control.

When anybody else who isn't logged in (including me) views the calendar they can't edit the event.

Great calendar!!
