Component installation throws some JFTP errors.
What does zCalendar want to create?

Does it save anything locally that would get in the way of a using Joomla Multisites shared file system?

* JFTP::mkdir: Bad response
* JFTP::chmod: Bad response

* Install Component Success

I see the image dirs:

images/com_zcalendar
images/com_zcalendar/category

Does zCalendar not use JFTP?

How soon will you be implementing this security feature?

Admin > Category icons

Error
* JFolder::files: Path is not a folder
* JFolder::folder: Path is not a folder

I've dealt with other component developers regarding the implementation of JFTP, and it's not excessively difficult from what they have said.

One gallery developer said,
"It was actually really easy, either of us could have done it, in less time we took discussing it. (If it works that is). Of course things are always clearer with hindsight."

Version 2.0.9 uses JFTP. I don't know what version you are using. It is possible there is a permission problem with the images folder, even for JFTP. See if you can create the folder using Joomla's media manager, which also uses JFTP. The images/com_zcalendar/category folder is used to store the category icons. You can create this and upload the images from the zip file manually if needed.

Been running JFTP on all my sites for 18+ months.
All extensions I use read/write images and manage folders with no problem.

Using 2.09.

Can you see if the "images/com_zcalendar/category" folder exists on your site? My guess is it was not created during the install. You can create it manually using Joomla's media manager.
