I use the directory listing software http://www.sigsiu.net and have it integrated with thyme calendar example at http://www.akevent.net/index.php? option=com_sobi2&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&sobi2Id=93&Itemid=93 this lists the events by the location listed in sobi2. Can this be done in your calendar.

I have also seen that you have a comment system for events but i use jomcomment can i still integrate this into the calendar and not use your plugin.

Those are great questions, Bill. I am always interested to see what people are doing with their calendars. Unfortunately, locations are a free form field in Zap Calendar at this time, so it would be very difficult to match it with a SOBI location. I will investigate it for the next major release. Integrating JomComment is probably much easier to do. I have a user who is using JomComment that I will be writing a plugin for, so I will probably have something available soon.

What i did was to name the calendars in thyme and the title in sobi the exact same. So all i had to do to get the correct calendar to display was to query both databases and tell thyme witch calendar to display on the details page in sobi. Then it was just the reverse in thyme to get the contact url to point to the correct entry in sobi.

Could i do this or something like it with my limited skills in php with your calendar. I am very intrigued by the ability to integrate with jomsocial.

Bill,

Did you write your own code to query the databases, or is there a way within these applications to query the other's data? I am interested in knowing how you did this, so I can see what options I have with Zap Calendar. Thanks!

Wow im so excited this would be a awsome connection of applications sobi2 for location your calendar for events at locations users able to connect interact and RSVP through jomsocial and comment with jomcomment all interconnected a dream come true.

I had to query the database in thyme calendar details page as it lives outside of Joomla but on the sobi details template it was pretty easy as sobi has built in calls and so does thyme so i just compared the title of sobi and the calendar name of thyme passed it to url and i got the proper calendar to display. I can give you the code if you like. dont laugh as it is an extreme hack.

Sobi2 has pretty good documentation that is were i got all the info.

We really need a great replacement for Thyme as they are now gone and we are left with an aging but awesome Calendar Application. I'm so bummed about losing Thyme.

I really would like the ability to SEARCH by Location, that is a distance search. Like SOBI2 has.

And location needs to be it's own object with master data associated with it.
